- I have a 2004 Ford Explorer SportTrac, with a bent frame after having been stolen, recovered, and then involved in a front wheel blow out, and landing in a ditch. I have been told the bent frame can be straightened, but also that it will be weak, and if something else happens that the frame will not be as secure as before. Is it dangerous? Should I immediately trade it in, or will it be okay to continue to drive?

We're still ironing out the proper Internet connections. On to your question. It's rare to have wiring and connector problems on a Toyota, but not impossible. Use a test light, I would prefer a volt meter. check for voltage at the socket, then check your ground connection. If you have continuity go to the source, take voltage readings at the high beam switch. Happy hunting. X « less
